Relocation Assistance Program

DETROIT – Deciding whether or not to accept a job-related relocation is an important decision that has an impact on your whole family.

The UAW-Chrysler Relocation Assistance Program is designed to assist you in making a smooth job-related relocation within the UAW-Chrysler system.

A Relocation Assistance Program Guide and other materials are being jointly provided to you and your family by the UAW and the company. A number of the materials you can access here are currently being updated. Keep checking back.

The guide, available on this page as a pdf file, includes information on things such as:

  • Your decision to relocate
  • Relocation site selection
  • How to assist your children with the relocation
  • How to deal with other family members and your relocation
  • Housing, transportation, education and other relocation-related issues.

In addition, a Community Profile has been developed for each relocation city to help guide your relocation transition and decisions. The four profiles also are available here as pdf files, as is a chart that compares the cost of living in the four areas.

You must have the Adobe Acrobat Reader program installed on your computer to view these files. Most users will already have this free program, as many computers come with the Reader pre-loaded. Those who do not (or who wish to upgrade to a later version of the Reader) will find a download link on this page.
