It's activity and involvement that are the real keys to enjoying your retirement.

Every UAW-Chrysler Local Union has a Retired Workers Chapter, and retirees interested in becoming active in their chapter should contact their Retired Workers Chapter Chairperson.

Visit the UAW International Union's Retired Worker Program Web site at UAW.org/ret for news affecting UAW retirees, information about UAW Retiree Drop-in Centers and more.

For other resouces designed to help retirees live fulfilling lives, visit the retirement section of the NTC's online learning site, LearnNTC.com.

And for still more information specifically designed for both UAW and non-represented retirees, visit the Chrysler U.S. Retirees Homepage.

There, retirees or the spouses or surviving spouses of a retiree, can:

  • Read the Chrysler Times.
  • Get a deal on a new vehicle through Chrysler Employee Advantage.
  • Visit the Chrysler, Jeep and Dodge brand sites.
  • Sign up for your benefits.
  • Get answers to your benefit questions with easy-to-find phone numbers, Web sites, claims instructions, etc.
  • Manage your 401(k).
  • Sign up to have your prescription drugs delivered to your home.

The Future Planning Program, designed primarily for active workers, can also be an important tool for retirees.

The 10-session program, held at UAW Local halls, includes guest speakers who are specialists in areas from health and relationships to finance and retirement benefits. Retired workers from the local are also able to attend these sessions if there is room for more than the active workers enrolled.

For those retirees who can't attend such sessions, the NTC has put Future Planning Program Participant's Manual online. The manual includes the classroom materials used in the Future Planning Program sessions. To view them, click here or click on the photo of the manual. The files can be read online or printed out.

For more information about NTC programs for retirees, contact Darrell Motley at 313.567.3300.
