Occupational Health Research
Let's
face it, factories can be hazardous places with all the
machinery and chemicals and such. Over the years, we've
learned a great deal about how to make UAW-Chrysler
workplaces safe. And we've worked hard to make sure that
people get the proper health and safety training.

Still,
there are a lot of unknowns - like what are the effects
of long-term exposure to a given substance, or of repeating
the same motion over a long period of time. So, in addition
to our extensive Health
and Safety Training programs, the NTC supports a number
of occupational health research projects. We've enlisted
the help of a Scientific Advisory Committee to identify
projects with particular relevance to UAW-Chrysler
facilities. The committee is made up of four internationally
recognized occupational health experts who also monitor
funded research projects.
