2014 Nissan Rogue proves better value than 2014 Mazda CX-5

Continental Nissan finds more SUV value in popular 2014 Rogue crossover

COUNTRYSIDE, Ill., Nov. 29, 2013 /PRNewswire-iReach/ -- Drivers in the market for an SUV rarely approach the available options looking for compromise. Unfortunately many modern crossover vehicles require drivers to compromise traditional SUV performance in the name of affordability. For this reason Continental Nissan set out to compare two of the most affordable crossover SUVs currently available in the 2014 Nissan Rogue and 2014 Mazda CX-5. With respect to the performance and utility that drivers have come to expect from a vehicle in the SUV segment, findings indicate that the 2014 Nissan Rogue includes more features that meet or exceed driver expectations.

While the 2014 Mazda CX-5 is designed to seat a maximum of five passengers, the Nissan Rogue can be optioned with a Family Package that safely allows for seven. In addition to seating more passengers than the Mazda CX-5, the Rogue also accommodates more cargo. With a cargo volume more than five cubic feet greater than that of Mazda's, the Nissan Rogue is demonstratively superior in meeting drivers' capacity expectations.

When conducting individual comparisons of new vehicles, drivers expect responsive performance in addition to passenger and cargo volume advantages. Considering this expectation in the Rogue vs. CX-5 comparison, Nissan's crossover SUV again demonstrates superior value. With an engine capable of producing 170 horsepower and 175 foot-pounds of torque, the Nissan Rogue offers drivers agility and acceleration typically not experienced in the sport utility class.

Drivers looking for an SUV with uncompromised performance and affordability can find the 2014 Nissan Rogue at Continental Nissan in Countryside, Ill. More information about Continental's stock of the 2014 Nissan Rogue is available by calling the dealership at (888) 597-9598 or browsing the model inventory at Continental Nissan provides certified Nissan sales and service to Chicago-area residents and is the only dealer in Illinois to win Nissan's Owner First Award of Excellence since its inception in 2002.
