AUBURN HILLS, Mich. – The program that gives DaimlerChrysler employees a sweet deal on a new Chrysler, Dodge or Jeep just got $1,000 sweeter.

The Employee Appreciation Bonus is being restored as a feature of the Employee Advantage-Chrysler Group Employee Purchase/Lease Program.

The $1,000 Appreciation Bonus will be available through June 2.

"As a result of overwhelming employee response, we are reintroducing the Employee Appreciation Bonus Program," said Nancy A. Rae, Chrysler Group senior vice president for human resources, and Gary Dilts, senior vice president for sales and service.

Pacifica added to Friends roster

A new set of hot wheels is now eligible for a discount under DaimlerChrysler’s Friends Program.

The 2004 Chrysler Pacifica crossover vehicle has been added to the list of Chrysler Group vehicles covered by the program, which offers good deals to friends and family members of DaimlerChrysler employees. Chrysler retirees also may participate in the program.

The Preferred Price is 1 percent below factory invoice, plus a $25 administration fee.

"Once again, this program delivers the best value in America to DaimlerChrysler employees."

Last month, the company introduced the Employee Appreciation Bonus, making it available for a limited time only on top of other discounts available at that time.

The restored bonus will be added to the regular employee discount and current incentives available to all consumers. They include up to $4,500 or zero-percent APR for 60 months for the purchase of eligible Chrysler Group models. Comparable incentives are offered for leasing a vehicle.

Certain family members of DaimlerChrysler employees also are eligible for the $1,000 bonus. They are spouse or domestic partner, parents, spouse’s parents, sons and daughters (including in-laws), brothers and sisters (including in-laws, half brothers, half sisters, stepbrothers and stepsisters), grandchildren and grandparents.

Rae and Dilts said the incentive makes this the perfect time for UAW-represented and non-bargaining unit employees to buy what they build.

"Take advantage of this deal today," they said. "We challenge every employee to utilize all six of your control numbers in May."

Chrysler Sebring Cabrio

Earlier this month, DaimlerChrysler announced several enhancements to the Employee Advantage-Chrysler Group Employee Purchase/Lease Program designed to make it more competitive.

The changes included adding an Employee Bonus Cash feature as a permanent part of the program, expanding eligibility and increasing the number of new vehicles that may be bought or leased by each employee from four to six in a calendar year.

DaimlerChrysler employees may obtain complete rules for purchasing or leasing a new vehicle, generate a control number or view their control number history by clicking on the Employee Advantage button on the home page of this Web site, or just by clicking the button at left.

Employees also may call the Employee Advantage Hotline at 800.756.2886 for a control number and information about eligible models.
