The fifth annual series has returned to the Museum’s spacious parking lot at the Chrysler Group LLC headquarters complex in Auburn Hills, Mich., with music and food on two more Wednesday evenings
Aug. 4 is Jeep Night and Aug. 18 is Classic Cruiser Night.
Whatever their theme, Cruise Nights welcome vehicles of all makes and models every evening – rain or shine. Trophies are awarded each night for Best Paint, Best Under the Hood and Best Unrestored.
The themed events are presented by Golling Chrysler Jeep Dodge in Bloomfield Hills, Palace Chrysler Jeep Dodge in Auburn Hills and Rochester Hills Chrysler Jeep Dodge in Rochester Hills.
The participating dealerships will provide a selection of new Chrysler Group models for display each Cruise Night and dealership representatives will be on hand to demonstrate vehicle features and to answer questions.
The Museum will be open after-hours for self-guided tours, including Born to Race: Dodge Viper Racing Heritage a special exhibition showcasing eight concept and production models that played a pivotal role in the vehicle’s storied history.
Complete with an historical timeline and highlight labels detailing each vehicle, Born to Race – on exhibit in Boss Chrysler’s Garage through Aug. 29 – features such pivotal models as:
1989 Viper Concept Car
1991 Viper RT-10
1996 Viper GTS Coupe
1997 Viper GTS-R
1997 Viper Le Mans Winner C-7
1998 Viper GT-2
2000 Viper GTS-R Concept
2000 Viper GTS-R
Reduced after-hours Museum admission of $2 per adult and $1 per youth (6-12) – regularly $8 and $4, respectively – is available each Cruise Night and includes entry to the Born to Race exhibition. Admission is free for children five and younger.
The Walter P. Chrysler Museum is accessible from I-75 at exit 78 (Chrysler Drive).
The Museum is a nonprofit 501(c)(3) public charity and operates independently of Chrysler Group LLC. All donations are tax-deductible.
