LET'S MAKE A DEAL

Employee pricing expands on Chrysler products

AUBURN HILLS, Mich. – Chrysler employees have a new opportunity to help put a special someone behind the wheel of a vehicle they build at a true bargain price.

Starting Monday, Aug. 11, employees can extend the same discount they receive when buying or leasing an eligible Chrysler, Jeep or Dodge to anyone who normally would not quality for the employee price.

The discount will apply to most new vehicles that may be offered to one “certain designated individual” (CDI) through Sept. 30.

The new CDI initiative is similar to Chrysler’s previous Employee Choice program  that opened the door for many employees to become sales ambassadors for the company.

Nancy Rae

Nancy Rae, Chrysler executive vice president of human resources and communications, and UAW Vice President General Holiefield, director of the union’s Chrysler Department, urged UAW members to support the new marketing effort.

“As employees, we all have a stake in the success of our company – and we all are in an excellent position to speak knowledgeably about our outstanding product lineup with the kind of passion, pride and insight that can help close a sale,” Rae and Holiefield said in a message to employees.

“With each employee serving as an active product ambassador, we can amplify the work of our sales force and contribute to the success of our company.”

The CDI program offers a friend or neighbor of a Chrysler employee a chance to get a sweet deal on a new Chrysler, Dodge or Jeep vehicle. They can take advantage of the employee price in addition to cashing in on discounts available through the company’s current “Shop ‘Til You Drive” incentive program.

To provide this special opportunity to a friend or extended family member, employees must register the eligible buyer and generate a CDI number to give to them for a specific sale.

To do so, or to obtain further details of the new program, employees should visit the Employee Advantage Web site at www.ea.chrysler.com.

The new CDI number is in addition to the six Employee Advantage numbers that employees can present to eligible immediate family members for the purchase of a Chrysler product.
