It's one thing (not a small thing, mind you) to provide education and training opportunities for workers. It's quite another to help them balance competing responsibilities of work and personal life. But that's what the NTC attempts to do through the Circle of Life programs and services described here. Work, school, retirement, kids, finances... the NTC offers resources that help workers successfully manage all aspects of today's fast-paced way of life.

Ask the Expert (Family Issues)
The program brings specialists from various helping professions to Chrysler facilities for face-to-face meetings with workers. Besides free consultations, the experts provide resource materials and referrals to help resolve work-life concerns.

Child Care Network
The NTC's National Child Care Network offers 10 percent tuition discounts for UAW-represented Chrysler employees. Check out the participating child care centers in your community.

Family Resource and Referral Program
This program provides wealth of free resource materials and personal referrals to community agencies for a wide range of family and personal issues - from parenting or special needs to a Homework Hotline where UAW-Chrysler families can get schoolwork help live or online..
Elder Care Assessment Program
Profession, in-home assessments can help employees determine what professional services are available to meet the needs of their elderly family members - even if they are in another city or state.
Dependent Care Assistance Program
This negotiated benefit allows workers to set aside up to $5,000 a year - using money that is exempt from state and federal income taxes and Social Security taxes - to pay for child care, before- and after-school programs or help with an elderly parent or ailing spouse.
