Artists At Work

atrist_at_work

Our employee art exhibition is just one part of an NTC initiative designed to recognize the diverse and sometimes overlooked talents of employees. Judges from the professional art community select pieces for the Artists at Work collection.

The competition is open to UAW-represented and non-bargaining unit Chrysler employees at U.S. locations, as well as staff members at the National Training Center (NTC), UAW-Chrysler World Class Manufacturing Academy (WCMA) and the UAW-Chrysler Regional Training Center in Kokomo, Ind. Members of the UAW’s Chrysler Department also are eligible to enter. Family members, UAW-Chrysler retirees or Chrysler contract employees are not eligible to participate.

The program is open to original art in various visual mediums. Individuals may enter up to 15 pieces.

The most recent competition was concluded Nov. 21, 2013, with a Reception and Exhibition at the NTC (see the video link below, right, on this page).

No new competition has yet been scheduled, but you can browse some 1,100 individual works from the nine exhibitions held so far by clicking the links below. In addition, the links at right will take you to slide shows and video clips that include walk-through tours and interviews from several Artists at Work receptions, as well as one artist’s unique vision in his own words.
